Well, the game, er, match is over. The Port Adelaide Power foiled the Brisbane Lions' bid for a fourth straight premiership title. Unfortunately, I didn't really learn much more about the game. I really should have gone out and sat in a pub and watched the match with some of the locals. I'm sure some of them would have taken pity on me and explained some of the ins and outs of the game. Last night I stayed out quite late and had a bit too much too drink (easy to do when you're in the company of Aussies!) and didn't quite feel up to it.
Time to head out for a bite.

Kicking the ball between the two talles uprights is a goal worth 6 points. Between the tall and shorter stick is a behind, worth one point.
A score of 10.13.73 means 10 goals and 13 behinds for 73 points total. 10 x 6 = 60, 60 + 13 = 73.
If the ball is touched before going through the posts, a behind is scored. If the ball hits the tall post, it is a behind, if it hits the smaller post, it is out of bounds.
Hope that makes a bit more sense, but with the footy season over, a description of cricket may be more appropriate.
