Donovan McNabb's Comments

On a soon-to-be-aired episode of HBO's "Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel", Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb is interviewed by "Real Sport's" James Brown. I haven't seen the program, nor am I likely to watch it. However, an article on ESPN.com yesterday carried some highlights. In case you didn't see the article, I'll recap it for you (and I am paraphrasing here):

James Brown: Donovan, is it tougher for black quarterbacks in the NFL?

Donovan McNabb: Waaaaaaaah! Waaaaaaaaaaaaaah! Waaaaaaaaaaaaaah!

Far too often Black people use racial issues to further themselves, yet, they are only holding themselves back by not correcting these problems and rather they are contributing to them.

Why did ESPN ask such a loaded question? I wonder if they would ask a White guy that. If they did, and the White QB responded, I'm sure he would be classed as a racist and probably suffer from "Imus Syndrome".

Is it hard for a White QB in the NFL? Sure is, considering that Black Americans keep replaceing these White sportsmen.

Dristlaecnes,

Thanks for stopping by and thanks for leaving a comment. A friend of mine has a saying that he uses when he wants to indicate strong agreement, "Can't get more Catholic than the Pope!" I agree whole-heartedly.

I will be sure to check out your blog.
